Hello lovelies,
You should all know by now the trouble that I have with oily skin and wanting a matte finish. I was in Boots and had a £5 No.7 voucher burning a hole in my pocket, so decided to pick up the No.7 Beautifully Matte Make Up Base. I assume this is meant to be used as a primer.
No.7 claim that this should help keep shiny skin under control all day long with its mattifying oil free base. I'm always on the look out for oil free products due to the nature of my skin.
I apply moisturiser first and then this on top. I was really surprised as all the primers that I've tried previously tend to have a gel consistency whereas this is a thick white base. You only need a pea sized amount, I apply all over my face but you could just target your problem areas. You only need to use a little bit at a time and blend it out otherwise a white residue is left on the skin. If you just want to slap it on, this probably won't work for you, this needs working in.
An additional benefit to this is it contains Meadowsweet and Cucumber. For those who have oily skin, you'll probably be aware of how easily it can become congested. Meadowsweet helps to regulate oil production minimising blemishes and the Cucumber helps to soothe the skin.
I actually quite like this, I find it does keep the shine at bay, I still need to powder throughout the day but I can cope with that.
No.7 Beautifully Matte Make Up Base 40ml is available from Boots for £10.50 but they often give out vouchers for a few pounds off and is currently on buy one get one half price.
Are there any primers that you'd recommend for oily skin?
You should try Milk of Magnesia.. It's a drugstore product but works perfectly well!!!! Best primer
ReplyDeleteI did have a look into it, and from what I can tell it's not actually too great for the skin!
