Valentines Gift Guide for Her

Hello lovelies,

As soon as we've seen the back of Christmas, another consumer driven celebration rolls round. It really is that one day where you either "love it or loathe it". Having been single on Valentines Day for as long as I remember, I could opt for the latter but this year, I'm going to embrace it and not let all  those love-sick couples get me down.

Valentines Gift Guide for Her

As I can't avoid it, I decided to give those a little helping hand, whether you're looking for ideas for yourself or a man without a plan, I've compiled a few of my favourite finds in a handy gift guide.

Laura Mercier Enligtenment Eye & Cheek Palette - £42.50

Anne Klein Ladies' Rose Gold-Tone Watch with Mother of Pearl Dial - $65.00

Shower Time Essentials #2

Hello lovelies,

I thought I'd give you an update on what's in my shower as I've had a little shake up with the products that I use. Some of the packaging is in French but it's still the same product that you can buy in the UK and probably other countries too.

As you can see this is still going strong, I use it probably once or twice a week and it really is one of the best bodyscrubs I've tried. I love the texture, it's very gloopy and really helps to refresh your skin.

I usually buy whatever is on offer in Boots and spend no more than a pound or two on shower gel but this is my little indulgence that lasts forever! It has the traditional S&G fragrance and leaves my skin feeling mosturised. I have to add that I love the addition of the pump, it's so much easier to use when your in the shower with wet hands and it disperses just the right amount of product.

Dove Intensive Repair Shampoo - £2.69 (currently on 2 for £4.00)
I'm just coming to the end of this bottle and I've already got another lined up in place. My hair is quite fine but there's a lot of it and I straighten it most days which doesn't leave it in the best condition. It leaves my hair feeling soft without weighing it down, and I've even noticeda difference in the number of split ends that I get.

Although this is more of a mask, I use it everyday, I pop it on for a minute and then wash it off. I feel like this works in conjunction with the shampoo and leaves my hair looking shiney and silky and full of body. It makes my hair a lot more managable and tangle free.

Have you tried any of these products?

NOTD: Ciaté Heirloom

Hello lovelies,

I had scheduled some posts to go up whilst I'd been busy with my exams, which are finally over, and they seem to not have gone up! Sorry about that! I thought I'd show you Ciaté Heirloom which I recieved in the Mini Paint Palette.

Ciaté Heirloom is a gorgeous deep duochrome amber gold polish with a shimmer running through it. It's such a different shade for me and if I'm honest, if I spotted it in a shop I probably wouldn't have picked it up. Having said that, it really looks great on the nails and would suit all skin tones. I found I had to use three coats to get the polish opaque but application wise, the brush is a good size considering it's a mini and it goes on smoothly, drying quickly.

Ciaté Heirloom can be purchased from BeautyBay for £9.27 with free delivery.

Ciaté Mini Paint Palette

Hello lovelies,

Let me start by wishing you all a very Happy New Year! I've fallen off the radar a bit, I've got exams coming up and I flew home for Christmas, so I've been super super busy with my friends and family. I thought about doing a Christmas Goodies post but my main gift was money and I had to leave lots of bits and pieces at home, but I did bring with me the Ciaté Mini Paint Palette.

This gorgeous little Mini Paint Palette set contains 8 of Ciaté's bestselling shades in mini form picked by Charlotte, the creator of Ciaté. I adore the Ciaté brand anyway, they're very innovative and always bringing out something new, so receiving this was a great surprise as I missed out on their advent calender! I just find the packaging so adorable and unique, the little bows are just the cutest and I'm in for anything that's just a little bit different.

Although I haven't tried any of the mini's yet, I have used polishes from the brand before. The handles are easy to hold and not too fiddly that you make a mess and I find the polish always has a longlasting finish taking ages to chip.

The shades include:
Spending Spree - a duo chrome with a lustrous finish
Power Dressing - a rich, dark blue
Mistress - a classic red
Dangerous Affair - a burgundy
Amazing Gracie - a soft, silky pink
Heirloom - a subtle purple with a pop of gold
Antique Brooch - a ruby with a golden glow
Looking Glass- a holographic silver with a rainbow pop

This kit has everything that a nail polish addict could want, it balances nudes with statement brights ans shimmers. These are the perfect size to pop in my hand luggage when travelling about. This set is lovely and the perfect gift!

The Ciaté Mini Paint Palette is available from John Lewis for £25.00
