Nuxe Spring Wishlist "Pamper Hamper"

Hello lovelies,

Nuxe Pamper Hamper

Now it's no secret how much I love my Nuxe Lip Balm and how much of a fan I am of the Nuxe brand, so when I saw this blogger competition over on raspberrycheeks blog, I knew I had to enter. As Spring is on its way, my skin is looking less than its best and desperately needs a boost, and the best way to go around this is to have a big pamper session.

All you need to do is to pick a few of your favourite pamper products from the Nuxe Paris website and post about them on your blog to be in with a chance of winning a Nuxe Pamper Hamper worth £250! I picked out some products from their website which will be perfect for getting my skin back to its best.

Nuxe Crème Fraîche de Beauté Mask 50ml - £19.50
Spring in England is still rather chilly and an added moisture boost is just what my skin needs after coming in out of the cold. This mask promises to keep your skin hydrated and soothed for 24 hours which is fairly fantastic!

Nuxe Prodigieux Eye Contour 15ml - £18.50
I've had my eye on this, my current eye cream is just coming to an end and with all the late nights I've been having, I need any help I can get. I tend to wear less makeup in the warmer months meaning that dark circles and puffiness are more prevalent. I think this would do a great job at sorting out those dark bags and rejuvenating my undereyes.

Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Multi-Usage Dry Oil 100ml - £28.00

I've heard so much about this oil and whenever I'm in the pharmacy I've always resisted the temptation. This oil is a fantastic multitasker, perfect for popping in the bath, as a mosturising oil or even through the ends of your hair to add a bit of shine back in.

Dry chapped lips are a nightmare and this little pot is an absolute saviour. I've raved about it several times before and this balm is perfect for getting your lips prepped for all those pretty Spring coral lipsticks. I apply a thick layer before bed and in the morning my lips are soft and smooth.

Nuxe Crème Prodigieuse Night - £24.00
My skin changes as the weather changes, it seems to be progressively moving towards a mixture of combination and dry. This cream is suitable for all skin types making it perfect for all us girls with combination skin and wouls sort out my dry flaky patches. Delightful.

If you fancy opening this competition, here's the link to all the information you need to enter. It's open till the 10th March, so plenty of time to get those entries in. Good luck!

Leave your links if you've entered.

Review: Boots No7 Perfectly Bronzed Bronzing Pearls

Hello lovelies,

I seem to have a spate of posts and then go AWOL. I'm at home for 10 days so just making the most of the time I've got, I had a couple of days in Liverpool and been catching up with family and friends. I left my trusty Seventeen bronzer in France and needed something to just give my face a glow so popped the No7 Bronzing Pearls into my basket in Boots without a seconds thought.

This pot of pearls is fairly small and perfect for travelling with, I find a lot of my powders break up when I'm travelling, they get smashed around and fall to pieces, with the pearls this happens much less. I wasn't able to use my normal powder brush with the pot as it's far too big, so had to use a little kabuki brush that I had on hand.

I find you're better off if you don't go around appication in a heavy-handed manner. The brush picks up a good amount of colour from the pearls as you roll them around and there's no need to use much as a little goes a long way. I always think you can always apply more but you can't undo looking like you've been rolling around in mud.

The powder glides onto the skin producing a really subtle glow, it just adds a touch of colour and really brightens up the face. There is a slight hint of shimmer but not enough so that I wouldn't use the bronzing pearls in the day. I'm natually quite fair skinned and find that this still suits me without tanning as it has soft peachy tones that give a natural bronzed finish.

No7 Perfectly Bronzed Bronzing Pearls are available from Boots for £9.95

Have you tried any of the bronzing products from No7?

Guide to Valentines Day: For Singles

Guide to Valentines Day: For Singles
Hello lovelies,

So the day has arrived - over the top displays of affection - don't you just love it? But for all those single pringles like moi, it's just another day. There's no need to feel down when you can curl up in bed with my two favourite men Ben & Jerry.

Love Actually DVD - £3.49
Ditsy Floral Throw - £120.00
Letter Mug H - £6.00
Yankee Candle Summer Scoop Medium Jar - £14.00
Ben & Jerry's Dough-ble Whammy - £4.00
ASOS Dreaming Sheep Print Jersey Night Tee - £15.00

I just find Valentines Day really overrated, it is totally blown out of proportion and over commercialised, whatever happened to a card, a home-cooked meal and some choccys? I wouldn't be complaining though if I recieved a Tiffany necklace! So whack your jammies on, and curl up in bed with a cup of tea and everyones favourite men.

What are your plans for tonight?

Liebster Award

Hello lovelies,

Todays post is a little bit different to my usual posts as it's the Liebster Award! I'd seen the Liebster Award given to a few bloggers that I follow, the Liebster Award is given to up and coming bloggers who have less than 200 followers. I was nominated by the lovely Lucy at Lucy Loves. Blogger awards are such a good way to learn about fellow bloggers so I knew that I had to participate.

Here are the rules for receiving this award:
1. Each person must answer the questions set for them
2. Create 11 questions for the people you've tagged to answer.
3. Choose 11 people and link them in your post.
4. Go to their page and tell them.

Questions:
1. Heels or flats on a night out?
I used to always wear heels, it didn't feel right without them but living in France, they look at you as if you're crazy if you wear heels on a night out. It's fine to wear them to Uni or out shopping but wear them to a club and you're the crazy English girl.

2. If you could only wear one outfit for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Probably some form of smock dress, with a blazer. It's my go to outfit that can be dressed up or down.

3. City break exploring the sights or relaxing holiday on a beach?
Can I say both? I went to Barcelona a few years ago and it's the perfect mix of city culture but you've also got the beach.

4. The best foundation you've ever used?
I've never tried a high end foundation, so would have to go with my trusty Rimmel Wake Me Up.

5. One item you'll always find in your bag?
Polos, obsessed.

6. The return of the plastic jelly sandals, yay or nay?
Nay, they remind me of when I was 6 years old on the beach.

7. You get to spend the day with absolutely anyone in the world, who would it be?
My Grandma, she passed away when I was 10 and I still miss her terribly.

8. Minstrels or Malteasers?
Malteasere every time.

9. One song that will always get you on the dance floor?
Mr Brightside by The Killers

10. The best thing about blogging for you?
The community, it's so lovely getting to make friends with people who want to chat about the latest mascara release.

11.  What's you're most prized fashion possession?
I have a Gucci watch, does that count?

Nominations (sorry there's only 7, really struggling to find bloggers who haven't already been nominated):
My Questions:
1. If there was a singular wish you could have granted (standard rules: no wish for wishes, etc.) what would you wish for and why?
2. What is your most cherished memory?
3. Favourite song at the moment?
4. How long have you been blogging?
5. If you could make one dream purchase, what would it be?
6. What do you like about yourself the most?
7. What is your favourite brand for clothing?
8. What was the last book you read?
9. What was your favourite post that you've written?
10. Name one blog that you don't think gets enough recognition?
11. What can you not leave home without?

What do you think about tags like this one?

Empties /2

Hello lovelies,

I had to go all the way back to June to find my last empties instalment, so it's definitely time to share with you what has been used up and is now heading swiftly in the direction of the bin. There's not a ton of products here considering when my last empties post was but I have the habit of just chucking empty packaging away without even thinking about it.

I confess I used to be a complete eye make up remover phobe. I thought that my everyday cleanser removed it all but I kept waking up with smeared mascara on my pillow and no one wants to llok like a crummy eyed panda. This was my first venture into the eye make up remover world and I was impressed, it did a good job at removing waterproof mascara, it's a bit oily but that's what you expect from a bi-phase remover. My niggle was and still is the packaging, the lid was ridicously secure and very difficult to open, there should be a little bobble bit on the top but that broke off.
Verdict - If Bourjois rethought the packaging, it would be a repurchase.

To me, a toner is a toner, unless it promises to exfoliate and then it's on the next level. This didn't break me out and took off any residue, which is what it's meant to do. I'm going to keep this short as I don't think it's even available within the UK anymore.
Verdict - Probably not if it was available, there's other toners that are cheaper and do exactly the same job.

Nivea Pearl & Beauty Anti-Perspirant Deodorant - £3.29 (currently 2 for £4.00)
This might seem a bit of an odd one to include but we all use it and it's a product that I've used up. As far as I can remember it did the job and had a really lovely fresh and feminine fragrence.
Verdict - I normally buy whatever is on offer, but I wouldn't rule this out.

Now those with a good memory will remember that I did a full post dedicated to this little beauty. It is a dupe for the infamous YSL Touche Eclat but with slightly heavier coverage. I was surprised by the coverage and how much it brightens my undereyes but it doesn't crease at all.
Verdict - I have since discovered the Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer, but this is an old favourite.

What can I say about this little wonder which hasn't already been said? Everyone and their mother has a tube of this somewhere. It's a medium to high coverage concealer that hands down beats high end concealers.
Verdict - Have repurchased already, I'm never without a tube of this.

Dove Intensive Repair Shampoo - £2.69 (currently on 2 for £4.00)
I've already raved about this in my Shower Time Essentials, it's a really great shampoo for my hair type. It doesn't weigh my hair down, leaves it feeling squeaky clean, looking and feeling healthy.
Verdict - Already onto my second bottle

Have you done an empties post recently?

Valentine's Day Outfit

Hello lovelies,

So the day is fast approaching and we all need something to wear whatever our plans are. I think Friday will be spent with a few of my friends, we'll have a girls only cocktail night. I decided to put a little outfit together if I had somewhere to go... that'll be the day.

Sharing the Blog Love

Hello lovelies,

I read a post by Taylor at taylorscollectionn on her favourite blogs and youtube channels that don't get enough recognition which inspired me to write my own post. We all know the likes of Zoella, Sprinkle of Glitter, Tanya Burr etc. but there are amazing blogs out there that go unnoticed and deserve so much more recognition than they actually get. I love finding new blogs to read, so I'm going to share with you a few of my favourites.

Have you found any great blogs that deserve more attention?

Monthly Favourites / January

Hello lovelies,

I hope you're all having a great weekend so far? I can't believe we're already a quarter of the way through February already - where has the last month gone? It only seems like five minutes ago we were all getting ready for Christmas. However, I have to say I'm quite relieved January is over, it's never a great month for me, I've had exams for as long as I can remember, it's cold, wet and dismal, and I always get ill. The only good thing to come out of January was getting to try some new beauty goodies that I got for Christmas and picked up in the sales. I feel like the majority of products that I've tried lately have been impressive, so it was prety tough trying to narrow down this months favourites. There's a mixture of haircare, skincare and makeup...

I bought this when I was on a weekend away in Toulouse, I managed to leave my Nuxe holy-grail balm at home and my lips were a state. I needed a quick fix and I spotted this in the pharmacy for about £1.50 so picked it up. The Avène Cold Cream is perfect for dry, chapped lips, it has a creamy consistency that your lips drink up.

As someone who is hugely fussy when it comes to hand cream, this gets the seal of approval. I received this for Christmas in a little set alongside the Rose Lip Balm which I'm yet to try out yet. I have to say I never realised that Lanolips made hand balms and would normally flit between L'Occitane Shea Butter Hand Creams and Soap & Glory's Hand Food. I prefer to use this in the evening as texture wise it's quite thick yet lacks the buttery consistency of a lotion. It doesn't sink in immediately, which is my bugbear but I can cope with that, as it's intensely moisturising.

I used to never bother with my brows but I've realised how important a brow can be - they frame the face. I just don't feel polished and ready to go if I haven't done my brows and this little kit is a godsend. You can see just how well loved it is. The kit contains 3 shades suiting blondes to brunettes and a finishing wax to hold the brows in place and makes doing my brows a quick and easy job.

I bought this on a whim as my hair needed a bit of TLC. I use this once a week before shampooing, I smear a couple of drops through my hair about 10 minutes before jumping in the shower. On application, your hair feels greasy and lanky, like you've just poured oil into your hair. After washing it out, I was seriously impressed. My hair felt softer and sleeker, and it defintely had more shine. My hair can get weighed down but this just made it so much more easier to tame. It's not cheap but you're only using a couple of drops at a time and I can see the bottle lasting forever!

What products have you been loving this month?
