I'd been meaning to try this primer for a long time, better late than never ey? I've heard so many people talk about this product but never came to read a full-blown review or even pick it up. I've looked at it over and over again but could never bring myself to spend nearly £25.00 in case my skin didn't like it. Fortunately for me, my gorgeous friend donated it to me, she bought it and found it too drying for her skin.
I risked it on a night out, and have no regrets! My skin looked flawless and it kept my make up exactly where it was supposed to be. I wasn't sure how the primer was going to work, I had used the Benefit That Gal Primer before which has a fluid consistency whereas this applies as a tinted balm. yet it's translucent, which makes your skin look even and smooth making the perfect base for make up over the top.
Although my friend found this drying, I actually really like the way it feels. As an oily-skinned gal, this is oil-free meaning that your make up will stay put. I tend to let my moisturiser sink in, apply this over the top and then my make up. It feels really lightweight on your skin and actually doesn't feel like you're slapping on another layer.
I really like this product and I've switched up my regular primer using this in place. It doesn't clog my skin and my make up generally looks smoother and more flawless using this as a base.
Benefit The POREfessional Primer 22ml is available from Boots for £24.50. I do think it's on the slightly higher end on what I would be willing to pay but as long as it keeps working for me, I'll be purchasing a tube myself, I just wish it was slightly bigger.
Have you used Benefit's POREfessional? Have you used anything similar?
